Faculty of Computing & IT

Established in 2021, the Department of Data Science at SLTC’s Faculty of Computing and IT, it delivers a premier BSc Honours curriculum. We grow graduates who are industry ready, with solid analytical, technical, and theoretical know how. With a driven academic faculty, the department also builds a real research atmosphere to tackle practical problems, not just textbook ones. Through well planned public-private collaborations, we promote innovation across Sri Lanka’s ICT/BPM landscape, via co research, focused training sessions and strong internship pipelines, so our students become the next data leaders in the future.
