The Staff Development Center (SDC) of Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC) was established in 2024 with the objective of promoting continuous professional development and enhancing the competencies of academic and non-academic staff. The Center serves as a dedicated institutional platform for strengthening teaching, learning, research, leadership, administrative effectiveness, and professional excellence within the campus.
The SDC facilitates structured staff development initiatives through training programs, workshops, seminars, mentoring, and professional learning opportunities that align with emerging trends in higher education, technology, innovation, and organizational development. The Center is committed to fostering a culture of lifelong learning, collaboration, and quality enhancement to support institutional growth and excellence.
The Staff Development Center contributes to improving staff capabilities in areas such as higher education pedagogy, curriculum design, student-centered learning, educational technologies, communication, leadership, teamwork, research capacity building, workplace wellbeing, administrative effectiveness, and professional ethics.

To enhance the professional competencies of academic and non-academic staff through continuous staff development programs, workshops, and training initiatives.
To strengthen teaching, learning, and assessment practices by promoting effective pedagogical approaches, student-centered learning, problem-based learning, lesson planning, and innovative instructional methods.
To support curriculum development and quality assurance in alignment with institutional goals and national and international higher education standards.
To promote research and scholarly excellence by strengthening research skills, academic writing, grant development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
To develop leadership, management, and interpersonal competencies to enhance teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational effectiveness.
To improve staff wellbeing and workplace effectiveness through programs related to counseling, stress management, motivation, time management, and professional engagement.
