Centre for Very Large System Integration Laboratory (VLSI-Lab)

The VLSI Laboratory is an innovative research facility focused on integrated circuit (IC) design, embedded electronics, rapid prototyping, and advanced hardware development. Led by Dr. Chamith Chandrarathna, the laboratory receives research support from Mr. Sachin, a Research Assistant. Our mission is to connect academic research with industrial applications by providing students, researchers, startups, and industry partners with access to modern design tools and fabrication technologies.

The laboratory specializes in comprehensive electronic product development, encompassing everything from concept design and simulation to prototype fabrication and testing.

2. Ingestible Biosensor for Parkinson's Disease Monitoring

Development of a miniaturized ingestible biosensor to monitor gastrointestinal biomarkers linked to Parkinson's disease. The system incorporates biosensing technology, ultra-low-power electronics, embedded intelligence, and wireless communication for continuous health monitoring.
