Dear Members of the SLTC Community,
As we welcome the month of September 2026, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to every member of the SLTC community.
The past month has been a particularly memorable one for SLTC. Having proudly celebrated the graduation of over 450 students from our diverse undergraduate programmes, we can state with increasing confidence that the stage is now set for the continued development of a sustainable, outcome-based learning environment across the entire campus. Our newest graduates represent not only the culmination of years of academic effort, but also the growing diversity, maturity, and potential of SLTC as a quality-assured institution of higher learning.
The achievements we celebrate belong to the entire SLTC community; our students, academic and administrative staff, alumni, parents, industry partners, and all those who continue to support our journey.
Equally encouraging has been the remarkable display of the multifaceted capabilities of our students beyond the conventional classroom. From the ingenuity and technological creativity demonstrated through the fourth edition of Lethal Bots, to the enthusiasm and fellowship of our Faculty Nights, and the unforgettable TERRA Fashion Show, our students have shown that university education is at its best when knowledge, creativity, teamwork, innovation, and confidence come together.
TERRA, in particular, was a striking demonstration of what can be achieved through a unified and largely in-house effort. From the conceptualisation of creations, each carrying its own deeper meaning, through the preparation and production of the outfits, to the highly professional presentation and modelling on stage, the event showcased exceptional student talent, creativity, discipline, and staff commitment. Such initiatives remind us that learning extends far beyond the formal curriculum and that creativity, communication, leadership, discipline, and collaboration are integral attributes of a well-rounded graduate.
We are indeed extremely proud to witness the growing camaraderie and inter-sectoral collaboration across our campus. Students and staff from different disciplines are increasingly working together, supporting one another, and contributing their distinctive strengths towards common goals. This spirit of collegiality is one of the most valuable foundations upon which a strong university community can be built.
As we move forward, the SLTC management looks towards even greater gains and the progressive upscaling of all sectors of teaching and learning, research, innovation, and development. We will continue to strengthen the quality and relevance of our academic programmes, enhance opportunities for research and industry engagement, and provide an environment in which our students and staff can realise their fullest potential.
An equally important priority is to widen access to the distinctive educational experience that SLTC offers. By strengthening the quality, visibility, and relevance of our study programmes, and by allowing the achievements of our own students, graduates, and staff to speak for the institution, we look forward to attracting increasing numbers of studentswho seek a contemporary, intellectually stimulating, and professionally relevant university education.
As we pursue these ambitions, we must remain equally steadfast in upholding the values that give credibility and meaning to academic achievement. Honesty, integrity, and respect for academic standards, institutional rules, and regulations must remain non-negotiable principles throughout the SLTC community. Every member of our university whether student, academic, administrative, or support staff carries a responsibility to uphold the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct and to strictly observe the approved codes of conduct that govern our institution. Sustainable academic excellence can only be built in an environment where fairness, accountability, transparency, respect for due process, and personal responsibility are consistently practised and protected.
May this month provide us with an opportunity to consolidate our achievements, strengthen our collaborations, and move forward with renewed confidence, integrity, and purpose.
