A Seat at the Global Table

SLTC maintains strategic affiliations and memberships with a range of prestigious international academic and professional organizations. These connections reflect the university's commitment to global engagement, quality assurance, and continuous academic development.

Through these affiliations, SLTC aligns itself with international standards, participates in global academic networks, and contributes to shaping higher education policy and practice. Memberships in regional and global bodies also provide valuable platforms for academic exchange, benchmarking, joint initiatives, and access to international resources and expertise.

On 6 December 2024, SLTC had the honour of hosting a delegation from the Association of Commonwealth Universities, led by its Secretary-General, Professor Colin Riordan, and Regional Director, Mr. Aditya Malkani, at the SLTC Padukka Campus.

The visit provided an opportunity for constructive discussions on strengthening SLTC's engagement with the ACU and exploring opportunities for greater participation in ACU activities and programmes. Discussions also highlighted SLTC's commitment to developing a strong research and innovation ecosystem, with particular emphasis on high-impact research and intellectual property generation.

Special thanks to SLTC for hosting Prof. Colin Riordan and me with such warmth and grace, and particularly for sharing with us your strategic ambitions, showing us around your beautiful campus and expressing such strong desire to collaborate with ACU.
