Ms. Nethma Kalpani

Nethma Kalpani is a Junior Consultant at the Department of Software Engineering, Faculty of Computing and IT. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Computer Science and Technology degree with First Class Honours from Department of Computer Science and Informatics, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, graduating with a CGPA of 3.93/4.00.

Her research interests lie in machine learning, deep learning, and network security, with a particular focus on intrusion detection systems leveraging ensemble and reinforcement learning techniques. She has authored and co-authored multiple publications in Springer Nature journals and contributed full papers and abstracts to international conferences.

Prior to her current role, she gained valuable experience in academic field at IT Division, Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa and the Department of Applied IT, SLTC Research University, alongside a software engineering internship at Widya Lanka, equipping her with a well-rounded foundation in academic domain.
