Back in 2014, SLTC was born from a bold dream, to build a university in Sri Lanka that prepares young people for the real world, not just for textbooks.
Our Evolutionary Timeline
Planting the Seeds
On September, 2014, we officially opened as SLT Campus (Pvt) Ltd. with the backing of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC. Our goal was clear to bridge the gap between classroom theory and the professional world.
The Pioneers Arrive
Our very first batch of Engineering students stepped onto campus, setting the foundation for our signature, hands on industry learning model.
A Historic Milestone
The Ministry of Higher Education officially recognized SLTC as a degree awarding institution.
Broadening Horizons
We took our first major step beyond Engineering, launching our initial Business School and Technology programs.
Regional Recognition
We established the Faculty of Business Management and introduced dedicated Business degrees. Our impact was recognized regionally with the Emerging Education Institute in South Asia award and a National Business Excellence Merit Award.
A Home for Diverse Talents
We transformed into a multi-disciplinary hub, launching the Faculty of Computing & Information Technology, Faculty of Science, and the Department of Music & Creative Arts. We introduced trailblazing fields like Mechatronics, Tourism, and Environmental & Agricultural Technology.
Designing the Future
We fast tracked our expansion by adding Software Engineering, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Civil Engineering, and Music to our academic portfolio.
Fresh Chapters & New Milestones
Ownership transitioned to Tempest Two (Pvt) Ltd. Our innovative approach was recognized with the South Asian Business Excellence Award, and we launched new paths in Applied IT, Textile & Clothing Technology, and Fashion Merchandise Management.
Nurturing Thinkers & Leaders
We established the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies & Research and officially launched our flagship MBA programme.
A Growing Identity
We officially rebranded as Sri Lanka Technology Campus (Pvt) Ltd. and expanded our advanced degree offerings with the M.Sc. in Electronics & Communications Engineering.
A Decade of Impact
We celebrated 10 years of academic excellence by passing our 5 year of Institutional Review and adopting a modern corporate identity under Pantheon Education (Pvt) Ltd.

What started as a quiet vision has grown over the past decade into one of Sri Lanka’s premier non-state residential research universities. Today, our sprawling 35-acre Padukka main campus is home to over 5,000 vibrant students, supported by a thriving research community and deep industry ties. The Gajasinghe Emblem
Prominently featured in our university crest, the Gajasinghe (a mythical creature with the head of an elephant and the body of a lion) is a symbol of strength, wisdom, and leadership.
Heritage
Historically featured during the Yapahuwa and Gampola periods and notably on the flag of the historic Sitawaka Kingdom (1521–1594).
Local Connection
Our main Padukka campus sits directly within the historic lands of the Sitawaka Kingdom, honoring local heritage through modern education.
