Research to Market
Support innovation, commercialization, and startup ventures.
While the Office of Sponsored Research focuses on securing industry-funded research, the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) takes on a distinct role: guiding research outcomes that emerge from the campus toward commercial application. Rather than working with research that is already industry-funded, the TTO focuses on research generated independently within the institution, ensuring it does not remain confined to academic output alone. Through structured intellectual property management, the TTO safeguards and adds value to these research outcomes, before positioning them for the market through licensing arrangements and technology transfer initiatives.
Industry-Funded Research
Secures research projects that are already funded and driven by industry needs.
Independently Generated Research
Guides research generated within the institution toward commercial application through IP management and licensing.
Nurturing Student Ventures
Separately, as part of the campus's broader commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship, initiatives are undergoing to connect selected students with external business incubators, gaining the mentorship, resources, and industry exposure needed to develop their own ideas into viable enterprises.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award
In recognition of this growing culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, the campus introduced the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award in 2025 at the General Convocation Ceremony, honoring students and researchers who have successfully translated their work into meaningful commercial or social impact.
