About the Role
We invite applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Lecturer (Probationary), specializing in Agricultural Technology, with expertise in the following areas:
Plantation Crop Production Technology
Soil Science
Soil management
Statistics/Biometry
Plant Science
Plant physiology
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning while ensuring effective supervision of student research.
- Develop and sustain industry collaborations while contributing to curriculum development and academic program improvement.
- Support departmental administrative and academic activities, including participation in meetings, seminars, and faculty initiatives.
- Engage in research, publications, and student mentoring activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A degree with specialization in the following subjects with a First or Second Class (upper Division) from a recognized university (B.Sc Honours in Agriculture / B.Sc Honours in Agricultural Science / B.Sc in Honours in Agro-Technology / B.Sc in Honours in Agricultural Technology / B.Sc Honours in Agricultural Technology and Management / B.Sc Honours in Agricultural Technology and Resource Management / B.Tech. Honours in Agricultural Technology / B.Sc. Honours in Biosystems Technology)
- Should have completed a postgraduate diploma level in a 2-year research-based master degree in the related field.
Experience
Minimum of three (03) years of experience in one or more of the following:
1. Teaching at University Level
2. Professional experience in the relevant industry
3. Research experience in a recognized institution
