Ms. Baghya Erathna

Ms. Baghya Erathna is a Lecturer in the Department of Tourism Management at the Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospitality and Leisure Management, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Tourism Economics and Hotel Management (MTEHM) from the University of Colombo. In addition, she is an Advanced Diploma holder of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA), UK.

She brings valuable industry experience to academia, having worked with Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts across five properties, which has enriched her teaching and research with strong practical and managerial insights into hospitality and tourism operations. Since 2021, Ms. Erathna has been actively engaged in research, with her primary research interests centred on regenerative tourism, community-based tourism, Gastronomy tourism, tea tourism and other areas, including international book chapters, research articles, and journal articles.
