SLTC welcomed representatives from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), India, Prof. Parimala Renganayaki and Dr. Vignesh Rajkumar, for an institutional visit and discussion on strengthening academic engagement and exploring future collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.
The visit provided a valuable platform for both institutions to exchange insights and explore potential areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on developing academic partnerships, student mobility opportunities, customised summer programmes, research opportunities, and collaborative initiatives across various disciplines.
During the discussions, representatives from VIT and SLTC explored opportunities to establish structured academic pathways that would enable SLTC students to benefit from international learning experiences and potential progression opportunities at VIT. The discussions also focused on developing customised summer programmes for SLTC students, particularly in Engineering and related disciplines, incorporating practical learning experiences, academic engagement, and exposure to VIT’s academic environment.
Furthermore, both institutions expressed their interest in identifying opportunities for broader academic engagement and strengthening institutional ties through mutually beneficial initiatives.
The visit marks another positive step towards expanding SLTC’s international academic partnerships and creating opportunities for students and academics to engage with leading international higher education institutions.
SLTC looks forward to further discussions with VIT and progressing the identified areas of collaboration into meaningful initiatives that contribute to academic excellence, international exposure, and global engagement.
