Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC), in collaboration with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), successfully concluded its International Webinar Series on “Transforming Universities into Eco-Campuses: Sustainability and Resource Circularity in Higher Education.”
The initiative, led by Dr. Renuka Ariyawansha, Head of the Department of Environmental Studies at SLTC, served as an international knowledge-sharing platform aimed at strengthening sustainability practices within higher education institutions. Through two webinar sessions, the series promoted dialogue on Eco-Campus development, resource circularity, and the integration of sustainability principles into institutional policies, frameworks, and operations.
The programme brought together distinguished national and international experts to share insights, experiences, and best practices for advancing environmental sustainability across universities.
Presentations were delivered by:

- Prof. S. Shantha Kumar, Professor of Civil Engineering, Centre for Clean Environment, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), India
- Dr. David Palomas, Lecturer (Teaching) in Chemical Sustainability, University College London (UCL), United Kingdom
- Dr. Sajida Naz, Associate Professor, Department of Behavioral Sciences, Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Pakistan
The webinar series attracted over 170 participants, including academics, researchers, students, and higher education professionals from Sri Lanka and several other countries, including India, Pakistan, countries across Africa, East Asia, and Europe.
SLTC extends its sincere appreciation to all resource persons and participants for their valuable contributions and active engagement, which greatly enriched the discussions and contributed to the success of the series.
