Overview

The BBM (Hons) in Operations Management is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to efficiently manage business operations across various sectors, including technology, manufacturing, logistics, banking, and consultancy. The program focuses on key areas such as production planning, quality control, lean manufacturing, inventory and logistics, and service management.

Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to manage processes with new technology to deliver high-quality products and services effectively. The curriculum emphasizes practical problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning in areas like process improvement, procurement, scheduling, and inventory control, etc.

In their final year, students will enhance their learning through hands-on industry training and research projects, gaining valuable real-world experience. Graduates will be well-positioned to take on leadership roles and drive operational excellence in data-driven, dynamic global business environments.

Entry Requirements

Minimum three (3) Simple passes (S) in any stream in one sitting at the GCE A/L (Advanced Level) Examination conducted by the Department of Examinations of Sri Lanka or equivalent qualification.
