Biography
Eng. Kasun K. Herath
Kasun Herath is a Lecturer-Higher Grade in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC) and a Co-Investigator at the Computational Intelligence and Robotics (CIR) Research Laboratory. He obtained his B.Tech. (Hons) in Mechatronics Engineering from The Open University of Sri Lanka in 2019, and his M.Sc. from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2023. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Pukyong National University in South Korea, further developing his expertise at the intersection of biomedical applications, medical imaging, and intelligent medical systems.
His research portfolio includes more than 80 scholarly publications, comprising over 25 articles published in SCIE-indexed journals, as well as three books, book chapters, and international conference publications. He is affiliated with the Institution of Engineers of Sri Lanka (AMIESL) and the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL), and is a Life member of SLAAS.
