Biography
I am a Consultant Librarian at SLTC, Sri Lanka, specializing in Information Management. My major research interests include information needs, information-seeking behaviour, information management, and systematic reviews across different subject areas. My research interests extend beyond the traditional scope of library users and encompass the broader role of information in society.
With my academic background in Chemistry and Biochemistry, particularly in relation to medicinal plants, I have a strong interest in the health system in Sri Lanka. As an Information Science professional, I am particularly interested in studying the information needs of individuals, communities, and patients in relation to health and well-being, and in developing appropriate educational and information interventions based on their needs. My aim is to contribute to improved access to reliable information and support informed decision-making through evidence-based information services.
