World Food Day 2026 Youth Innovation Challenge
The World Food Day 2026 Youth Innovation Challenge invites university students across Sri Lanka to transform innovative ideas into practical and scalable solutions towards building a more sustainable future. Entrance to the challenge involves preparing a short video pitch showcasing your innovation and submitting a concept note along with the video for evaluation by the selection panel.
If your students have developed, or are currently working on, an innovative idea, research project, or solution related to any of the following areas, this challenge provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your work:
- Agriculture
- Fisheries & Aquaculture
- Livestock
- Environment and Climate Resilience
- Food Security and Nutrition
Selected teams will have the opportunity to present their innovations at the World Food Day Event scheduled to be held in October 2026.
- University student teams can apply with the guidance and endorsement of an academic supervisor. Please refer to the attached “How to Apply” Guide for the step-by-step application process.
