Overview

B.Sc. Honours in Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) is a unique undergraduate engineering degree programme offered by SLTC. This program will prepare students to be at the forefront of Information and Communication technologies that will dominate the world in years to come. This four-year graduate degree program is one of the most up to date BSc IT degrees in Sri Lanka and has been designed for students seeking career opportunities in software and telecommunication. As despite being a branch of engineering that is young, it has gained considerable popularity in an abbreviated time as an academic discipline of choice as well as a lucrative career option. Information and Communication engineering is one of the fastest growing industries in the world because of the role Information and Communication technologies serve in the modern life and in the future.

Being located in one of the strongest tech hubs in the world, Sri Lanka is ready to take advantage of the growth of its expanding software engineering in telecommunication industry. As an ICE graduate you will be part of the future world and the future of the country’s ICT industry.

In addition to the main areas of study, students are provided with a solid education in English, Ethical Practices and Management disciplines. All our students have to go through a compulsory training period with our industry partners as part of their curriculum. This provides them with a real-life experience into the IT industry before they graduate.
