Alexis Lovell

Mr. Lovell is an experienced investor and business leader responsible for negotiating several prominent and large  transactions including; the largest Telecommunication Sell Side Advisory Asia,  Transaction Value US$2.6b. Largest Real Estate Transaction United Kingdom Stg  500 million. Largest Healthcare Sale Middle East. Sell Side  Advisory US$ 750m. Placement of US$100 Million of Union Bank Shares to  TPG Sale of AMW Group to Al-Futtaim Middle East. Mr. Lovell obtained a Post Graduate Degree in Business from  Curtin University Australia. He is also a member of the  Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK and Fellow  of Australian Marketing Institute. Positions held by him were Chairman, Union Bank of Colombo  PLC, Chairman, UB Finance Ltd and Chairman, Kapital Corp  International (Pvt) Ltd.

Hiran Cooray

Mr. Cooray is Chairman of Jetwing Symphony/Lighthouse  Hotel PLC. He joined his father, the founder of Jetwing, late Herbert Cooray,  in the late 1980s. He learnt to love nature, work with local  communities and to explore areas where others would not from  his father; today, this is called sustainable tourism. He has seen  the Jetwing brand being recognized as Sri Lanka’s most  responsible hospitality entity. His efforts were acknowledged internationally with him being  the first Sri Lankan to be appointed Chairman of the Pacific Asia  Travel Association (PATA) based in Bangkok. He also served  on the Board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World from 2007- 2014 and the UNWTO Tourism Ethics Committee as an  alternate member from 2013-2021. In Sri Lanka, he was elected President of the Tourist Hotels  Association (THASL) from 2005-2008 and from 2014-2016. He  also served as a Board member of the Sri Lanka Tourism  Development Authority (SLTDA) and the Sri Lanka Tourism  Promotions Bureau (SLTPB). His passion for sustainable  tourism makes him a sought-after speaker within his motherland  and around the world.

Priyanjith Weerasooria

Mr. Weerasooria is the Group Managing Director of FINCO  Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and has over 25 years of experience across  manufacturing, apparel, consultancy, financial services &  leisure industries. Mr. Weerasooria provides strategic direction and leadership to  the CEO’s of group companies in Hotel and Travel Sector,  Manufacturing, Energy and the Consultancy Practice. In 2011, Mr. Weerasooria divested FINCO’s interest in apparel  following and lead the group’s expansion into the leisure  industry with UGA brand of hotels. The investment into bespoke  travelling planning with the formation of TFG in 2014  complimented FINCOs existing businesses of general sales  agents of Korean Air, Alpha Travels & Holidays (Pvt). Under  his leadership, RDC – a pioneer consulting practice in Sri Lanka  registered with international lending organizations including the  World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Japanese International  Cooperation Agency (JAICA) Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic  Development (KFCD), Fund for International Development  (OFID), has successfully completed several projects, both  locally and internationally. The 2018 divestment of FINCOs construction industry  investments allowed Mr. Weerasooria to add investment in  financial services and renewable energy businesses to the  FINCO portfolio, In 2007 Mr. Weerasooria joined YPO and was Chapter Chair of  Young 2012 – 2013; where he worked with other experienced  leaders to expand business opportunities, inspire and encourage  young leaders to join the chapter. Mr. Weerasooria services on Board of CEAT Kelani Holdings  since 2013, Kelani Tyres board since 2016 and many other non listed companies. He is an alumnus of Bentley College U.S.A., where he obtained a degree in Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

Mano Sekaram

Mr. Sekaram is a serial tech entrepreneur and investor. He is the  Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 99x, an award winning, high-quality digital product engineering company  serving European markets. Mr. Sekaram is a respected leader with over 30 years of  experience in the Sri Lankan IT industry and business  community. He was listed on LMD’s 100 Club for 2019 and  2020, the A-List of Sri Lankan businesspeople who continue to  drive the nation’s engine of growth. He was also awarded the  ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the National Best Quality  Software Awards (NBQSA) 2014 by BCS, The Chartered  Institute for IT, for his vast contributions to the ICT industry. In furthering education, IT literacy and aligning the university  curricula to industry needs, Mr. Sekaram has contributed as a  Board Member at the University of Jaffna and the University of  Colombo (School of Computing). He is a member of the  University Grants Commission (UGC) Consultative Committee  for Computer Science. Mr. Sekaram sits on the Board of the Sri  Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC) as an investor. He is a past Chairman of the IT/BPM sector’s apex body, the Sri  Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies  (SLASSCOM). In August 2023, Mr. Sekaram was appointed as the Honorary  Consul General for Norway in Sri Lanka.

Chehan Perera

Mr. Perera counts over 27 years following financial markets and  managing research and financial services businesses based in  South-East Asia and South Asia. He spent over 10 years (1995- 2005) with the ABN AMRO Group heading research operations  in Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Mauritius in addition to  covering strategy and several other sectors during that period.  He was also a part of the Group’s equities management team for  the ASEAN region. Upon leaving ABN AMRO, Mr. Perera co-founded Insite Equity  Ltd and subsequently established Insite Holdings as an  investment holding company in Sri Lanka. Insite Equity entered  into a partnership with KAF Seagroatt & Campbell Securities in  2006 in Malaysia where Chehan was the lead in building a  competitive and well-respected institutional equities business. Mr. Perera worked two years (2017 and 2018) at Malaysian  sovereign fund Valuecap Sdn Bhd as Head, Capital Market  Research to set up an ASEAN research team with an ESG focus. He holds a BA (Hons) from Ithaca College, NY with a major in  Economics and a minor in Mathematics. He received his CFA  charter in 1999.

Dinesh de Zoysa

Mr. Dinesh de Zoysa serves as the Managing Director of  Associated Electrical Corporation Limited (AEC). He currently serves as the Chairman of Capital Alliance Group  and serves as a non-executive board member of listed and  unlisted companies across risk and insurance solutions, hotel  management and travel, real estate development, HR  transformation and consulting in a career spanning over 30  years. He is also Managing Trustee and board member of Musaeus  College, Colombo. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance  and IT) from the University of Technology, Sydney, and an MSc  in Insurance and Sustainable Risk Management from Glasgow  Caledonian University, London

Ajita de Zoysa

Mr. de Zoysa is the Chairman of AEC Limited and all its group Companies. He serves on the Boards of numerous listed and non-listed organizations and has over 60 years of industry experience in Motor, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Petroleum and Petro chemical, Construction and Financial Services. He has served as the Chairman of AMW Group, Union Bank, National Asset Management Limited and Sathosa Motors PLC. Mr de Zoysa’s philanthropic and leadership roles in numerous Organizations in Education, Healthcare, the Kalutara Bodhi Trust and the YMBA to name a few have contributed to the welfare and well-being of many thousands of people over the past 5 decades. He was conferred National Honour “Deshamanya” by HE the President of Sri Lanka in 2019.

Ajith Fernando

Mr. Fernando draws on a 30-year body of multi-faceted  experience in Sri Lankan capital markets and is the founder and  Group CEO of the Capital Alliance Group. A long-standing  Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants  (UK), he holds an MA in Financial Economics from the  University of Colombo. He currently operates as the Managing Director of Capital  Alliance Holdings Limited and Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC, while  also reserving the position of Chairman in two of the group’s  companies. An industry visionary, Mr. Fernando holds key  board positions in a number of companies both within and  external to the CAL Group.
