GOVERNING BODY

The governing body at SLTC Research University is responsible for setting policies, making decisions, and providing direction for the institution. Primarily the Council which is the governing body of the university comprises eminent personnel representing diverse stakeholders, such as faculty, students, alumni, professional bodies, industry experts and community members. Promoting our vision and mission, the governing body is responsible for giving strategic direction overseeing the overall management and operation of the university, including academic programmes, finances, and facilities.

The Council members of the SLTC Research University consider it of paramount importance to continuously monitor the institution’s progression in all fronts in order to ensure it remains at the helm of higher education in the country as well as within the region. 

Under the aegis of the Council functions the University Senate, University Executive, Academic Board and Board of Study.

University Council

The Council is the governing body that is responsible for smooth functioning of the university. The particular forum shall promote the vision, mission and strategic direction of the institution.

Academic Board

Academic Board is the academic authority of SLTC. The board shall have control and general direction of instruction, education, research and examinations in SLTC.

Board of Study

All academic activities of a school shall be scrutinized by a Board of Study prior to onward submission to Academic Board, and the board of study is responsible for maintaining and delivery of curriculum.
