GOVERNING BODY
The academic council is responsible for the academic governance of SLTC and for ensuring that all academic programs are conducted in the manner expected by the conferring authority, by continuous monitoring. The academic council is chaired by the Vice Chancellor of SLTC, and consists of external members representing academia and industry in Sri Lanka, representatives of the senior management, deans of the faculties and representatives of the university senate.

faculty Board
Faculty Board is the academic authority of SLTC. The board shall have control and general direction of instruction, education, research and examinations in SLTC. The faculty deans preside all meetings of the faculty board.

Board of Study
All academic activities of a school shall be scrutinized by a Board of Study prior to onward submission to Academic Board, and the board of study is responsible for maintaining and delivery of curriculum.
