Ms. Swapna Premasiri is the Head of the Department of Software Engineering and a Lecturer of the Faculty of Computing and IT. Additionally, she also resumes the role of Lead-University Life at SLTC.
Ms. Premasiri obtained her MASc from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver and Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering from Sheffield Hallam Univerisity (conducted at SLIIT) (First Class). Prior to joining SLTC, she was a research student at McGill Univeristy working on Brain Imaging.
Currently her research interests are in the areas of Computer Vision and Image Processing applications involving machine learning.
