Dr. Dimithri Devinda Jayagoda has completed a Ph.D. in the Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies at Ritsumikan Asia Pacific University (APU) – Japan. Currently he is serving at SLTC Research University as the Department Head – Business Management and a Senior Lecturer. He has conducted research about the sustainability of the island of Palawan in the Philippines. Dimithri earned a master’s degree from APU in Development Economics and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Before studying at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Dr. Dimithri has obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM-UK) qualification in 2004.
Dimithri is the only Sri Lankan represent at the annual St. Gallen Symposium held in Switzerland in 2008. Dimithri has published two books, namely: ‘Community and Environment Centered Sustainable Development: Case Studies from Puerto Princesa City of Island Palawan, the Philippines’ and ‘The Performances of Sustainable Environmental Development Projects (Mangrove Plantation) in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan-Philippines’.
Prior to joining SLTC Research University, Dr. Dimithri has served as ‘Head of Academics – Senior Lecturer’, ‘Dissertations Consultant – Senior Lecturer’, and ‘Head of Department (HOD) Management – Senior Lecturer’ at Leading Campuses offer International MBA and Undergraduate degrees in Sri Lanka.
He is the founder of “Dimi on Education,” an open Facebook group that shares educational information.
