The Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC) has been awarded its first-ever grant from the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) under the Climate Resilience Network Grant scheme.
The grant has been secured by Dr. Renuka Ariyawansa, Head of the Department of Environmental Technology, and the project will run for a period of one year, concluding in July 2026.
Funded by the ACU, the Climate Resilience Network Grant supports research and practical initiatives that enhance climate adaptation and resilience across member universities. At SLTC, Dr. Ariyawansa’s project focuses on establishing a sustainable, integrated solid waste management system, contributing to the university’s vision of building a greener and more resilient campus environment.
This award represents a significant milestone for SLTC, placing the university within a global network of institutions committed to addressing pressing environmental challenges through innovative, research-driven solutions.
