Our third-year BBM (Hons) Supply Chain Management & Operations Management students recently had the invaluable opportunity to visit the Sri Lanka Ports Authority as part of their Port Management & Operations module.
During the visit, students explored core areas such as container handling, terminal operations, and maritime logistics, gaining firsthand insights into how one of South Asia’s busiest and most strategic ports operates. This experiential learning journey allowed them to bridge academic theory with the real-world dynamics of global trade and port management.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe, Mr. Chamara Wijayawickrama, and Mr. Pradeep Karunathilaka for their guidance and support in making this visit a remarkable learning experience.
At SLTC, we take pride in nurturing future-ready professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead in the ever-evolving fields of logistics, supply chain, and maritime industries.
