The event featured an inspiring keynote address from the distinguished Prof. Ajith De Alwis, Chief Innovation Officer of the National Innovation Agency, whose words resonated deeply with both budding and experienced researchers. The SkillUp Youth Empowerment Program made its mark today at St. Nicholas’ College, Negombo, with a highly engaging and impactful session. Organized in collaboration with the Presidential Office and Future Lanka Research and Development Foundation, the program brought together students and industry professionals for meaningful discussions on career pathways and personal development. Mr. Susantha Rupasinghe, Assistant Manager from SLTC’s Office of Industry Liaisons, participated as a panelist, sharing valuable insights into bridging the gap between education and industry. His session emphasized the importance of aligning skills with industry demands, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities in their future careers. The interactive format allowed students to ask questions, explore various career possibilities, and gain practical knowledge about navigating their professional journeys. Through dynamic exchanges and practical advice, the session not only motivated the young audience but also provided them with tools to approach their aspirations with confidence and clarity.
