On the 29th of September 2024, SLTC hosted a dynamic Pre-Orientation Programme tailored to equip our incoming students with essential skills and knowledge, setting them up for success as they begin their academic journey. The event featured a variety of informative and engaging sessions: Psychology Session with Dr. Dharshan Perera: Students gained valuable insights into mental health and well-being, emphasizing the importance of resilience, stress management, and emotional intelligence. Self-Defence Session with Mr. Kunchana Ranasinghe: This interactive session empowered students with practical self-defense techniques, fostering confidence and personal safety awareness. AI Insights with Dr. Kaneeka Vidanage: An exploration into the world of artificial intelligence, where students learned about the latest advancements and how AI is shaping various industries. Exploring ChatGPT and Data Analytics with Mr. Sampath Thrimavithana and Mr. Dilshan Senaratne: A hands-on session introducing students to the capabilities of ChatGPT and the fundamentals of data analytics, essential skills in today’s tech-driven world. SLTC is proud to support our students as they embark on this exciting new chapter, ensuring they are well-prepared to thrive both academically and personally.
