The event featured special insights from Dr. Nicoloy Gurusinghe, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at SLTC’s Faculty of Engineering. Kingswood College hosted the exciting event “Region of Exotica ‘24” on August 2nd, an astronomical quiz and workshop night that captivated attendees with the wonders of the universe. The event featured Dr. Lakshitha Pahalagedara, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate and Research at SLTC, who shared his extensive knowledge and passion for Science and Research. The quiz added a competitive edge to the evening, allowing participants to test their knowledge and learn more about the mysteries of space. The event was a stellar success, reflecting Kingswood College’s dedication to promoting scientific curiosity and learning.

The SLTC team made a significant impact by inspiring young minds at St. Bridget’s Convent during the Tamil Debater’s Workshop, organized by the Tamil Debater’s Council. This engaging workshop provided students with a platform to hone their debating skills and develop critical thinking abilities. Our team actively contributed to the session, sharing valuable insights through counselling. The event was a testament to SLTC’s commitment to empowering youth and supporting educational initiatives that foster intellectual growth and effective communication.

We are excited to announce our partnership with XpressJobs to empower our students with valuable internship opportunities! This collaboration introduces the “Internship Vacancies” initiative, which is now available on SLTC’s Learning Management System (LMS) and website. Through this initiative, students can access a curated list of internship positions that will provide practical experience and a head start in their career journeys. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world experience, enhancing students’ employability and professional growth.
