SLTC Research University and the University of Évora Forge Strategic Partnership
In a significant step towards fostering international academic collaboration, SLTC Research University, and the University of Évora, Portugal, have formalized a strategic partnership. This alliance was cemented through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on February 6, marking a milestone in the universities’ shared commitment to bolster academic ties, foster cooperation, and enhance internationalization efforts. The University of Évora, a public university located in Évora, Portugal, is the second oldest university in the country. Established in 1559, the university has a rich history and a strong commitment to providing an education that combines honest study with long experience. Today, the University of Évora is recognized as one of the most significant and top universities in Portugal. Representing the University of Évora at the MoU signing was Prof. Vitor Beires Nogueira. SLTC was represented by an esteemed delegation including Prof. Veranja Karunaratne (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Udesh Oruthota (Head of Academics), Prof. Anoma Abhayaratne (Head of International Affairs), and faculty Deans.
