From 4–6 February 2026, the SLTC delegation visited Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) – Chennai Campus, including the VIT Fashion Institute of Technology (VFIT). During this visit, the team engaged with VIT leadership and faculty in productive discussions on collaboration opportunities in creative education, applied research, and industry-integrated learning, aiming to foster innovation and future-ready talent in fashion and design.

Gitanjali (Assistant Director of International Relations), Dr. Sainu Franco, Prof. M. A. The SLTC delegation included Vice Chancellor Prof. Chandrika Wijeyaratne, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Wipula Yapa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Saman Bandara, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies & Research, and Head of the Office of International Affairs & Grants Dr. Lakshitha Pahalagedara.
This visit marks a significant step in strengthening international partnerships and advancing SLTC’s commitment to global engagement in innovation, research, and creative education.
