SLTC Signs Credit Articulation Agreement with the University of Otago, New Zealand

Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC) has signed a Credit Articulation Agreement with University of Otago, New Zealand, creating a new pathway for Sri Lankan students to pursue higher education opportunities in New Zealand.

This milestone collaboration was marked through the agreement exchange held on 6th March 2026 at the New Zealand Education Business Networking Event at Galle Face Hotel. The agreement aims to strengthen academic partnerships and expand global education opportunities between Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

The agreement exchange was witnessed by distinguished representatives, including H.E Mr. David Pine, New Zealand High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Maldives, and Ms. Anna Gestro, Group General Manager – International Marketing, Brand and Scholarships at Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao.

The occasion was also witnessed by distinguished representatives including H.E Mr. David Pine, New Zealand High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Maldives, and Ms. Anna Gestro, Group General Manager – International Marketing, Brand and Scholarships at Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao.

The agreement exchange was represented by Dr. Lakshitha Pahalagedara, Head – Office of International Affairs and Grants / Dean – Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Research, SLTC, on behalf of Sri Lanka Technology Campus, and Ms. Riddhi Khurana, Country Advisor – South Asia Region, University of Otago, on behalf of the University of Otago.

Under this agreement, students at SLTC will be able to begin their studies in Sri Lanka and transfer their academic credits to continue their degree programmes at the University of Otago. This collaboration aims to provide students with greater international exposure and access to globally recognized academic programmes.

This partnership reflects SLTC’s commitment to expanding international academic pathways and global collaborations, enabling students to gain international learning experiences and broaden their career opportunities.
