The Faculty of Engineering and Technology of SLTC joined hands with Vega Innovations to deliver an inspiring knowledge-sharing session for the students of Ananda College today under the theme “Microchip Design and Energy Storage for Electric Vehicles.”
The first session was led by Dr. Nicoloy Gurusinghe, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at SLTC, supported by lecturers from the Faculty of Technology and Engineering. This session introduced students to energy storage systems, supercapacitors, and the role of microchips in electric vehicles, bridging classroom learning with real-world engineering applications.
The second session was conducted by Vega Innovations, Sri Lanka’s pioneering EV company. Mr. Asith Devinda (Technical Lead – Automotive Electronics) and Mr. Gayan Bandara (Technical Lead – Power Electronics) shared insights on Vega’s journey in EV development, emerging mobility technologies, and career opportunities in the field, leaving students inspired to be a part of the future of sustainable mobility.
SLTC thanks Vega Innovations for collaborating on this impactful initiative and encouraging the next generation of engineers to explore opportunities in electric vehicle technology.
