As the slogan suggests as SLTC Research University, the research milieu is embodied through the activities, and a nourishing research ethos is encompassed in the mission and the vision of the institute.
About Faculty of Postgraduate Studies & Research (FPSR)

Faculty of Postgraduate Studies & Research (FPSR) contributes as the visionary strategist for fostering the institute’s postgraduate education and research, merging them with the industries to nurture an eco-system for innovation and discovery.
FPSR primarily oversees the Postgraduate Education and Research & Development in the institute. Postgraduate Education is managed by the Board of Studies and Research Activities are managed by the Research Cell.
The FPSR oversees graduate admissions, fellowships, grants, academic employment, mentoring activities, professional development, academic progress, and degree milestones. Research & Innovation is governed by segregated into two arms including Services and Administration & Development to catalyze the research activities within the campus. Office for Research and Innovation Services (ORIS) facilitates the services whilst the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) & Technology Transfer Office (TTO) accelerates the administration and development. The faculty’s operations are overseen by the Dean of Postgraduate Studies & Research, and its impact is significant due to its role in shaping the image of SLTC

Office of Research & Innovation Services (ORIS)

The Office of Research & Innovation Services (ORIS) serves as a vital link between the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies & Research and the broader research community within the university. As a key service provider, ORIS plays a pivotal role in fostering a dynamic research ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities of ORIS include:
- Acting as the strategic policymaker
- Administrator for research assistants and research associates, ensuring effective management and support.
- Promoting and encouraging student participation in innovation competitions, fostering creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Overseeing the efficient management and disbursement of research funds within the campus, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
- Organizing and coordinating webinars, colloquiums, International Research Conferences, and exhibitions, creating platforms for intellectual exchange and dissemination of research advancements.
Administration & Development
At our campus, the Administration & Conceptual Development team plays a vital role in fostering a dynamic research ecosystem. This team is responsible for coordinating and enhancing the overall research environment on campus by developing and implementing innovative concepts and strategies that drive research excellence.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Conceptual Development: Crafting and refining new initiatives, ideas & policies aimed at improving the research ecosystem, creating opportunities for collaboration, and encouraging interdisciplinary innovation.
- Publication Management: Overseeing the entire publication process, ensuring that research output is properly managed, tracked, and shared within the academic community, contributing to the growth of knowledge.
- Project Management: Leading and managing research projects from inception to completion, ensuring that objectives are met, deadlines are adhered to, and resources are effectively utilized.
Faculty Social Media Management & Content Creation: Managing the online presence of faculty and research initiatives, creating engaging content, and maintaining social media channels to amplify the campus research community’s visibility and outreach.
