Mr. Vishvanath Edirisinghe

Mr Vishvanath Edirisinghe is currently working as a Lecturer (Probationary) at the School of Music in Sri Lanka Technological Campus, Padukka, Sri Lanka. He has a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Honours) degree in music, specializing in North Indian classical music, with first-class honours from the University of Visual and Performing Arts in 2018. In 2021, he completed his master’s degree with first-division honours from the University of Delhi.

During his time in India, Mr Edirisinghe studied under several renowned Indian classical vocalists, including Pandit Vidyadhar Vyas, Professor Ananya Kumar Dey, and Mr Amjad Ali Khan. His vocal style is mainly based on Gwalior and Rampur traditions.

Mr Edirisinghe has been working at SLTC for two years as an academic staff member. His research interests include Ludomusicology, Music Appreciation, and the Emotions of Music.
