Ms. Umayangana Alawatte

Umayangana Alawatte is a probationary lecturer in English affiliated to the Centre for Communication Skills Development at the SLTC Research University. Having explored multi disciplinary areas in her academic and professional career in the field of English Language Teaching and Business Management, she holds her Bachelor’s degree in English Language, French language and International Relations from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka while she earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Her research interests include English language teaching, teaching and learning methodologies, corporate communication and language technology.
