Shanika Gunasekara works as a lecturer at SLTC Research University. She earned her BSc (special) degree in Mathematics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and her Master of Science Degree in Applied Statistics at the University of Colombo. Before joining as an academic at SLTC Research University, she worked as a temporary lecturer at Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna in 2020 and at the University of Kelaniya in 2017. She worked as a temporary demonstrator at the Faculty of Science, University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2016. Her research interests include statistical modeling and forecasting.
