Dr. Ruwanga received her B.Sc. Agriculture Technology and Management degree specialization in the Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Engineering, from the Postgraduate Institute of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. She worked as a Research Fellow in the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and worked as a Research Assistant in AusAID – CSIRO, and APN projects, and a temporary lecturer (2011 – 2012) in the Department of Agricultural Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Currently, Dr. Ruwanga is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Technology, Sri Lanka Technological Campus(SLTC). She is serving as the Head of the Department of Agricultural Technology. She has been serving for four years for SLTC as an academic staff member.
