Dr. Rajeev Mallawaarachchi is a seasoned academic and administrator with over 16 years of experience in engineering education and institutional leadership. He holds a Ph.D. and B.Sc. Eng. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and is an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL).

He began his academic career at SAITM in 2009, later becoming Head of the Department of Civil & Infrastructure Engineering. Since 2018, he has served at Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC), where he currently leads as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. In this role, he has contributed significantly to curriculum development, quality assurance, faculty development, and student-centered learning.

Dr. Mallawaarachchi has led academic programs aligned with both local and international accreditation standards, integrating Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and modern teaching methodologies. His teaching interests span from foundational courses to advanced topics in Civil Engineering, including Engineering Drawing (manual and AutoCAD), Construction Technology, Concrete Technology, Surveying and Disaster Management.
