Madhawa Premasiri is a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering. He joined SLTC in December 2022 and delivers traffic engineering and geotechnical engineering modules to undergraduates. He is a graduate of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa and has completed his Masters in Civil Engineering from the same university. With more than 6+ years of industry exposure, he is one of the leading transport demand modellers in Sri Lanka. He was the national transport modeller for the Colombo Light Rail Transit Project. Recently his team developed the first peak-hour based, public and freight transport included, comprehensive 4-step model in Sri Lanka, called WPTDM V2.0
