Mr. Mohamed Imran

Imran Uvais has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering at SLTC since April 2017. He earned his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Eng. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. He pursued a M. Eng. degree in Telecommunication and Network Eng. at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Melbourne, Australia. Notably, Imran was honored with an Australia Awards scholarship in 2015, facilitating the attainment of his master’s degree. He possesses extensive industrial expertise, having served for 9 years as both an Enterprise Solution Engineer and a Core Network Engineer at a leading telecommunications service provider. His research interests are Software Defined Networking (SDN), 5G and 6G Wireless Communications, RF energy harvesting, and vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) Communications.
