Azmeer currently serves as the Head of the Department of Applied IT at Sri Lanka Technological Campus, overseeing the renowned DAIT program across the island. He previously launched Sri Lanka’s first Multimedia degree program at SAITM and served as CEO at Conceptnursery.com, a technology business incubator. With over 30 years of local and international experience, he led a Silicon Valley software development firm and played a key role in promoting an entrepreneurial culture in Sri Lanka.

As Chairman of the talent development subcommittee at the Software Exporters Association (precurser to SLASSCOM), Azmeer contributed significantly to the local ICT industry, and he was instrumental in transforming Lanka Internet into a comprehensive web services provider in 1995.
